Founded in 1919, The American University in Cairo moved to a new 260-acre state-of-the-art campus in New Cairo in 2008.

Job Description:
School of Business-whose roots date back to 1947-anticipates openings for faculty positions in the Mohamed Shafik Gabr Department of Economics at the level of Assistant/Associate/Professor for a fixed term four-year appointment, to begin in Fall 2025. The department seeks an applicant with exceptional teaching and research records who transcends traditional mainstream output in Microeconomics, Public Economics and Applied Microeconomics.

Requirements:
Applicants must have a PhD in economics or finance from a reputable university, preferably AACSB and/or EQUIS accredited. Applicants must demonstrate an excellent record of teaching experience and student evaluations. Applicants must have a proven record of research publications in the past five years in top-tier journals (A*/A according to the ABDC ranking or Q1/Q2 according to Scopus ranking) and a proven record of research grant applications.
