Full Text of JOE Listing:

The University of Tokyo Graduate School of Economics and Graduate School of Public Policy welcome applications for a joint position of full-time Assistant/Associate/Full Professor beginning in September 2025. We are particularly interested in candidates from the field of macroeconomics. Lectures are expected to be offered in English.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. (received or expected by September 2025), strong evidence of commitment to research, solid teaching skills, and a clear indication of interest in public policy issues. Publications in top general/field journals are important to qualify for a tenured position.
We will begin considering applications in late-December and will continue doing so until the position is filled. Please apply as early as possible, and before January 31, 2024.
Initial interviews will be conducted via online, starting from early January. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, three letters of reference, teaching evaluations if available, and at least one research paper (the job market paper) through the AEA JOE system.
