The Institute for Economic Policy at Universidad Andrés Bello, Chile (FEN-UNAB), invites applications for full-time open-rank faculty positions in Microeconomics. We seek candidates with research expertise in fields such as microeconomic theory, industrial organization, public economics, labor economics, development economics, behavioral economics, political economy, and related areas. Candidates should hold or be near completion of a Ph.D. and demonstrate a strong research commitment. Appointments begin on August 1, 2025.
Salaries, teaching loads, and research funding are highly competitive with leading institutions in Latin America, Europe, and the U.S. Knowledge of Spanish is optional, but teaching in Spanish will be required by March 2026.
The Institute for Economic Policy (IPE) is part of the Becker Friedman Institute-Latam (BFI-Latam), a branch of the Becker Friedman Institute at the University of Chicago. This collaboration offers IPE faculty opportunities to engage in joint research, apply for grants, and participate in international initiatives with BFI-U. Chicago.
