Sponsored by Taiwan’s National Development Fund and several internationally renowned enterprises (including TSMC), School of Political Science and Economics (SPE) at National Taiwan University aims to develop first tier research of international political economy. The school takes an interdisciplinary approach and incorporates scholars from the fields of political science, economics, and finance. Two master programs, MA in Political Economy, and MA in Finance, will start to enroll students in fall 2025.

The school invites applications for several faculty positions at the assistant professor level (or above). Fields of specialization include (international) political economy, international trade and finance, public economics, development economics, and financial economics. Candidates must demonstrate strong ability in research and teaching, and we are particularly looking for applicants who are interdisciplinary in nature, and are willing to incorporate the knowledge of science and advanced technology into their research. Candidates should obtain their Ph.D. degrees before July, 2025. SPE is an all English program.

All interviews will be conducted virtually. Applications must arrive by Dec 15, 2024 to ensure full consideration. Positions are open until filled.
