The Department of Economics at Texas Christian University (TCU) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2025. The successful candidate’s research and teaching will specialize in International Economics.

All Ph.D. requirements should be complete by August 2025. Departmental representatives will conduct virtual interviews. Finalists will be invited to campus for in-person visits.

TCU is a private research university, and the Department of Economics is part of the AddRan College of Liberal Arts that emphasizes the ideals of a liberal arts education and a teacher-scholar model with a 3/2 course load. Students are encouraged to explore alternative points of view and to develop the tools necessary for independent analysis. Economics at TCU offers three degrees (BA, BS, and BS in International Economics) and has roughly 350 majors.

Required materials:
By November 15, interested individuals should go to jobs.tcu.edu, search for job number 499870 in the search field, and upload 1) a cover letter, 2) CV, 3) job market paper, 4) statement regarding research plans, and 5) evidence of effective teaching.

At least three confidential letters of recommendation which should be sent via the AEA JOE system by November 15. The application will be considered incomplete and not evaluated if at least three letters are not submitted by the deadline.
