Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Business and Economics Department at Ursinus College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Macroeconomics beginning in Fall 2025. Responsibilities include teaching principles and intermediate macroeconomics with ability to support introductory and advanced finance courses, research methods, senior capstone courses, and the interdisciplinary Common Intellectual Experience (CIE) seminar for first-year students. The teaching load is five courses (four credit-hours each) per year, with one course release in the first year. Tenure-track faculty are also expected to establish a program of scholarship, supervise student research and honors projects, and take part in academic advising of majors and first-year students.
The department welcomes applications from candidates with additional interests in teaching econometrics, data analytics, or even writing and speaking, as the department’s curriculum encourages development of communication skills. Interest in interdisciplinary research and teaching is a plus.
Please submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, transcripts, and separate statements reflecting on each of the following: teaching experience, practices, and goals; scholarly accomplishments and a proposed agenda for scholarship; experience and commitment in support of an inclusive community. Applicants also should submit a list of their three references. Letters of recommendation will be requested only of applicants who are invited to a virtual interview.
