NYU Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in Economics focusing on fields related to Development Economics, Public Economics, and Political Economy. The appointment is for 3 years and will begin September 1, 2025, subject to final budget approval.
The post-doctoral associate will split their time evenly between independent research, and collaborative research with Dr. David Blakeslee, Dr. Samreen Malik and Dr. Veda Narasimhan. The collaborative research will focus on human capital development, climate resilience, social welfare programs and public good delivery in low-income countries.
We seek a candidate with expertise in using secondary data and/or collecting primary data in South Asia through surveys/field experiments. This is an excellent position for an economist interested in working on issues prevalent in this region.
