Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Politics, Economics and Law Department at SUNY Old Westbury is seeking an economist with a Ph.D. or ABD with a completion date by August 1, 2025 and teaching experience for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2025.
Candidates must teach principles courses for interdisciplinary students, Intermediate Microeconomics or Macroeconomics to economics majors, and upper division courses in political economy (U.S. or global) including economic history.
Priority will be given to those who can teach labor economics, health economics, political economy of race, gender or class.
Also, the candidate will be expected to do scholarly research and publication, and service activities in the department and the university including advising, program assessment, curriculum development and committee responsibilities.
