The FSU Department of Economics invites applications for one tenure-track Assistant Professor to join the department in Fall 2025. This position will also have an affiliation with the Center for Demography and Population Health. Applicants from any field will receive full consideration. Ideal candidates would demonstrate clear potential to produce frontier research in applied microeconomics including fields that complement areas of strength in the department such as public, labor and demography, health, economic history, development, environmental, or urban economics.

The successful candidate(s) must show evidence of the potential to produce internationally recognized research (at the Assistant level) or have a strong track record of scholarship (at the advanced Assistant level). The successful candidate will also be expected to fulfill usual teaching and service responsibilities. Completion of all requirements for the PhD before the date of hire is expected.
