The Washington and Lee University Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Environmental Economics. The appointment begins July 1, 2025. The appointed candidate will offer courses in environmental economics, actively contribute to the interdisciplinary program Environmental Studies, and teach other economics courses as needed. Faculty teaching load is five sections a year, with newly appointed faculty receiving a one-section reduction for the first year. The department features an active research seminar, a pre-tenure leave in the third, fourth, or fifth year, and strong research support.

Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Economics or related field is expected by the time of appointment. Prior teaching experience is highly desirable.
