The Centre for Health Economic Research at Uppsala University is hiring for a 2-year post-doc position with placement at the Department of Economics, beginning no later than September 2024.

The interdisciplinary center focuses on research for an efficient use of health care resources and improvement of health in the population. Our research has a quantitative emphasis using rich register data and state-of-the-art methods to create new knowledge.

We expect the post-doc to conduct independent research within the fields of the center. Tasks include initiating and running projects and collaborating with other members of the center.

The Department of Economics is a highly committed research department with full-scale graduate and undergraduate programs within Scandinavia’s oldest university. The Department hosts several strong research groups in applied microeconomics, labor economics, macroeconomics, and public economics, among others.

Candidates should have a PhD in Economics/Health Economics or have finished a PhD no later than September 2024 and must demonstrate excellence in research.
