The Washington State Economic and Revenue Forecast Council (ERFC) is recruiting for a Senior Economist. We are looking for someone to join our Tumwater, WA office. This position is hybrid, but the Senior Economist should expect to be in the office up to two days per week. The successful candidate must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the state of Washington.

The Opportunity:
You will prepare each quarter selected forecasts for the official Economic, Transportation, General Fund Revenue, and Near Fund forecasts. You will focus on the official transportation revenue and economic forecasts and will prepare the official revenue forecast for the Motor Vehicle Fuels tax and assist forecasting several driver and vehicle revenues. You will also be responsible for compiling the quarterly revenue forecast for all transportation revenue including forecasts from other ERFC economists and forecasts from other state agencies. You will also develop and maintain databases associated with the economic models of the state’s economy and revenue and serve as a member of committees and/or boards.
