Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Centre for Quantitative History at HKU Business School is seeking applications for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship with the possibility of a one-year extension for the academic year 2024/25 starting in August 2024. This fellowship offers an opportunity to collaborate with Principal Investigators on research related to China's economic, financial, social, and other historical aspects, with a focus on academic journal publications. The role involves leading a team of Research Assistants and actively participating in Centre activities.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in quantitative history research to be considered. They should have excellent communication skills in Chinese and English for both writing and oral presentation. Responsibilities for fellows include moderating research seminars, managing the Centre's working paper series, and organizing the biennial conference. Fellows must reside in Hong Kong and actively engage in the Centre's academic life, attending readings, lectures, presentations, and campus activities.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until July 31, 2024, or until positions are filled. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.
