Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at the University of Idaho is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of applied economics. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Xiaoli Etienne on a variety of topics, including but not limited to, commodity price analysis, impact of climate change on commodity markets, and the food-energy-water nexus.

The preferred start date is August 2024, though earlier start dates are acceptable. This position may be renewed in annualized increments for a duration of two years, contingent upon performance, need, and funding. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Required qualifications:

1. Ph.D. in agricultural economics, resource economics, economics, finance, statistics, or a related field required.

2. Strong empirical analysis skills and proficiency in at least one statistical software

3. Excellent ability to communicate research to both experts and non-experts
