Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Chief Economist is a key member of the leadership team for the State of Arkansas. The position is within the Department of Finance and Administration. Primary responsibilities include the development and use of economic models to assess the state’s economy and to translate those assessments into forecasts of state revenue.
The Chief Economist serves as an advisor to the Governor and Secretary of the Department of Finance and
Administration. Required qualifications include the formal education equivalent of a master’s degree in economics, statistics,business administration or a related field. Candidates with a PhD are preferred, plus four years of progressively more experience in economic or revenue forecasting. Interested candidates may send a resume/CV to Scott.hardin@dfa.Arkansas.gov.
