The Hammack School of Business (HSB) at Oglethorpe University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics position beginning fall 2024 teaching three courses per semester on a ten-month contract. Oglethorpe University is a liberal arts institution that unites a close-knit campus community with the culture and opportunities of Atlanta, Georgia.

The Hammack School offers the MBA and a host of undergraduate majors including economics with 25% of all Oglethorpe undergraduates selecting a major within HSB.

Minimum qualifications: A Ph.D. in economics from an AACSB accredited university. ABD will be considered. Teaching experience preferred.

High quality teaching is the expectation at Oglethorpe. Candidates with fields in Environmental Economics and/or Labor Economics, or secondarily History of Economic Thought or Behavioral Economics, are encouraged to apply.
