Full Text of JOE Listing:

The University of Connecticut invites applications for a nine-month tenure track position in the Department of Agriculture and Resource Economics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We seek well-qualified candidates with a research focus on food marketing, consumer behavior, agribusiness management, supply and demand analysis, trade, and/or empirical industrial organization.

Duties include teaching three courses per academic year, advising undergraduates and mentoring graduate students, securing external funding to support your research program and fund graduate students, and developing or continuing to develop an internationally recognized research program.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a related field; excellent training or experience in applied microeconomics and quantitative methods; a record or promise of excellence in scholarship and teaching; and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include a strong record of high-quality refereed journals, demonstrated teaching excellence and ability to secure extramural grants, participation in interdisciplinary research projects and engagement with stakeholders and policymakers.
