The School of Business at Meredith College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Data Analytics and Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2024.

Qualifications include:

- A Ph.D. or DBA in Economics, Data Analytics or Data Science, or closely-related field is required (ABD will be considered). Degrees from AACSB-accredited programs are preferred.
- Demonstration of excellence in teaching data/quantitative methods, statistics, or other similar courses as well as economics, preferably macroeconomics.
- Preference will be given to candidates that have demonstrated competencies using various data analytics software tools and applications.
- Demonstration of scholarly contributions through refereed journal publications and other intellectual contributions. Publications in the scholarship of teaching and learning are a plus, and ABDC recognized outlets are strongly preferred.

In addition to teaching and research, faculty are expected to serve on committees, advise students and provide additional service to the School of Business and the College.

A normal teaching load for faculty is 3 courses per semester, and research is required although research expectations are commensurate with teaching load. Summer research grants are guaranteed in the first two years. Commitment to academic excellence and the ability to work effectively and collegially are expected.
