The Department of Economics at Illinois State University seeks applications for a faculty position with an expected start date of August 16, 2024. The search is for environmental, energy, and/or regulatory economics at the assistant level, and candidates with an exceptionally strong record of scholarship and teaching will be considered at the associate level. The position is a nine-month, tenure-track appointment with the possibility of summer teaching and the possibility of serving as one of the directors for the Institute of Regulatory Policy Studies.

The successful candidate will conduct research, teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor and recruit students, and perform service to the Department, the College, the University, and the profession. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field or be expected to complete such a Ph.D. before the start date.
