Position Title/Short Description

The Stanford Environmental and Energy Policy Analysis Center (SEEPAC) is seeking Post-Doctoral Scholars for a one year position starting this coming summer. Applicants should be graduating this year with a PhD in economics or a closely related area, with primary fields including IO, public, and/or environmental economics. We primarily consider applicants who are simultaneously searching for a full-time faculty job this cycle and would defer that job for one year, although we can also consider alternative arrangements.

SEEPAC post-docs split time between their own research and developing joint projects with SEEPAC director Hunt Allcott. There is no teaching.

Possible joint projects might include:
* randomized experiments on energy efficiency and electricity pricing;
* studies using Nielsen Homescan data;
* randomized experiments with companies marketing sustainable products;
* studies on ESG investing;
* evaluations of congestion pricing programs;
* evaluations of the Inflation Reduction Act; and
* other studies of electric vehicle and electric power markets.
