Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is seeking to fill one or more positions for Economists in its Office of Research. The Office of Research is an interdisciplinary research group that studies a range of topics including consumer decision making, household financial choices, and markets for consumer financial services. Economists conduct independent research and provide analytical support in the areas of policy development, regulations, consumer education and engagement, bank and non-bank supervision, fair lending, and enforcement. Our work is tightly aligned with the Bureau's mission of improving consumers’ financial well-being, supporting well-functioning financial markets, and combatting discrimination.
Candidates should possess strong research skills as well as an interest in working with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, industry practitioners, and attorneys.
This position is remote-eligible.
