Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Department of Economics invites applications for an Assistant Professor position (tenure-track) in Economics. Applicants are expected to have a doctorate in Economics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics or a closely-related discipline (ABD may be considered if the degree will be earned by August 2024). The position is located on the University of West Georgia’s main campus in Carrollton, GA and will begin in Fall 2024.
The primary teaching responsibilities are in the areas of applied business analytics, healthcare analytics and health economics, visual analytics, and related disciplines. Other teaching responsibilities may include principles of economics, and other field-related upper division and graduate courses.
We are interested in candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching and student engagement. Individuals will teach online, face-to-face, and hybrid modes at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additional expectations include professional development and scholarly activity, and service to the department, college, and UWG community.
