The Department of Economics at Fordham University welcomes applications for a lecturer for 2023-24. The duties associated with this position extend from mid-August 2023 to mid-May 2024. Lecturers are not expected to teach in the summer months. Full benefits are provided. Our department serves a diverse student body at two campuses in New York City, at Lincoln Center in Manhattan and at the larger Rose Hill campus in the Bronx. The salary range for this position is $68,889.60-$71,500.
Applicants should hold a PhD. The position will require the successful candidate to teach four undergraduate courses per semester. We are primarily looking for individuals comfortable in teaching introductory micro or macroeconomics, Statistics I and II, and occasionally upper division required courses. The teaching load is 4 courses per semester, 8 courses per academic year. All faculty are expected to hold office hours as well. Teaching is planned to be fully in person commencing in August 2023.
