The Department of Economics at Dickinson College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor for the 2023-2024 academic year. Candidates should have already earned, or be near completion of, a Ph.D. in economics or related field. Teaching experience is preferred and the ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate. The teaching load is five courses per year.

Dickinson College, a selective four-year, liberal arts college with 2,200 students, is located in historic Carlisle, PA near Harrisburg and is a two-hour drive from Baltimore, Washington, DC and Philadelphia. The faculty prides itself on fostering meaningful student/faculty interactions, implementing innovative pedagogy, and promoting student/faculty research.
