Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics (AEDE) at The Ohio State University seeks applications to the position of Lecturer in Applied Economics. Beginning August 23, 2023, the appointee will be expected to teach three to four undergraduate courses per semester, and to mentor students and student groups. Courses may include microeconomic principles, managerial economics, data analysis, econometrics, regional economics, economic policy and development economics, or other topics of mutual interest. The exact number and mix of courses will depend on the needs of the department, and the strengths of the appointee. The appointee will be involved broadly in the academic life of the department. This is a 9-month, three-year term appointment renewable contingent upon departmental needs and appointee performance. Applicants should demonstrate evidence of outstanding teaching and a commitment to undergraduate mentoring.

The appointee will join an outstanding group of 23 faculty and lecturers and will be involved broadly in the academic life of the department including possible service on the department’s academic affairs committee. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but those received before April 7, 2023 will receive priority consideration.
