The University of Connecticut Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics seeks to hire a highly productive scholar at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with possibility of tenure. Applicants should have primary research and teaching interests in environmental and natural resource economics, demonstrate excellent quantitative/empirical skills, have research interests that are synergistic with the ARE Department and College faculty, and have experience or interest in working in an interdisciplinary context. We seek applicants who have an international scholarly reputation or demonstrate a strong potential for it.
Relevant areas of interest include but are not limited to energy and climate change, energy markets, water quality, land use, environmental justice, sustainability, and racial equity.
The position has an anticipated start date of August 23, 2023 in a full-time, nine-month tenure-track position. Duties include a 50/50 split between teaching and research, with expectations for service. Teaching responsibilities include three courses annually and student advising.
