The Department of Applied Economics and Statistics seeks a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in Food and Agribusiness Marketing and Management (FABM) beginning Fall 2023. The potential candidate could focus on consumer behavior, food policy, food retailing, or related areas. The position will be 9-month, academic-year appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor with approximately 60% of time devoted to research and 40% to teaching. Current assistant professors are encouraged to apply, and negotiations over tenure and promotion schedules are possible.
The successful candidate will have Ph.D. in applied economics, agribusiness, agricultural economics, food marketing, economics, or a closely related field. The successful candidate is expected to have demonstrated excellence in research and have a dedicated interest in high quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level. We seek individuals that will incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion into their research, teaching, and mentoring both at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
