Positions:
The College of Business and Economics invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning in Fall 2023.

Qualifications:
A PhD in economics at the time of hire is required. Successful candidates will have demonstrated skills in computational economics, causal inference, machine learning, or econometrics. Preference will be given to candidates with a focus in either applied macroeconomics or applied microeconomics and a record of excellence in teaching, scholarly achievement, and demonstrated ability to obtain external funding through grants or contracts.

Responsibilities:
The expected teaching load is 18 credit hours (6 courses) per year. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate the ability to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

College of Business and Economics:
The College is accredited by AACSB for both its business and accounting programs. It offers undergraduate business programs with majors/concentrations in an array of business fields and offers a growing number of graduate programs. The College plays a prominent role in providing leadership to local/regional firms, governments, and non-profit organizations.

Towson University:
Towson University (www.towson.edu) was founded in 1866, is recognized by U. S. News and World Reports as one of the top public universities in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, is Baltimore’s largest university, and is the largest public, comprehensive institution in the University of Maryland System. TU enrolls almost 19,000 undergraduates and over 3,000 graduate students across six academic colleges (business, education, fine arts, health professions, liberal arts, science & mathematics), has almost 900 full-time faculty, and offers more than 65 bachelor’s, 45 master’s, and 5 doctoral programs. Our centrally located campus sits on 330 rolling green acres and is 10 miles north of Baltimore, 45 miles north of Washington D.C., and 95 miles south of Philadelphia.

Initial interviews will be conducted virtually in January.
