The department of Econometrics and Data Science of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is looking for new colleagues who share our ambition for impactful research and high quality teaching.

Your Tasks:
- performing innovative research in econometric and statistical methods;
- creating a stimulating learning environment for students in econometrics at all levels (BSc, MSc, MPhil, Executive), and continuing to improve teaching quality;
- being active in acquiring additional research funds, both individually and as a team effort.

Your Profile:
- a PhD degree in econometrics, statistics, data science or a related field;
- strong research potential, preferrably evidenced by publications (assistant professor level), or evidenced by a strong track record (associate/full professors);
- a research focus on the study, development, and theoretical backbone of new methodology rather than on its application only;
- teaching experience, evidenced by good evaluations;
- fluency in English.
