The Department of Economics in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one or more tenured faculty positions at the level of experienced Associate Professor or Full Professor with tenure starting August 2023. In addition to the six existing faculty members in applied microeconomics, econometrics, and experimental economics we plan on a robust hiring initiative over the next five years. Beyond outstanding scholarship, the ideal candidates will play a central role in hiring new members for our applied microeconomics group, leading the applied microeconomics group, and mentoring PhD students and junior faculty. We are open to empirical work on a broad variety of applied microeconomic topics; areas we would considered include labor, health, education, public finance, the economics of organizations, experimental economics, and empirical IO. Required Qualifications:
• An earned doctorate in Economics, or a related field.
• The successful candidates will:
o Possess a productive scholarly record that merits a tenured appointment as either an Associate or Full Professor at the University of Iowa;
o Conduct empirical research in an area of applied microeconomics, including experimental economics.
o Possess an outstanding record and demonstrate leadership in the three areas - research, education and service—that are cornerstones of the university and college missions;
o Be committed to supporting and enhancing diversity among students, faculty and staff.

Desired Qualifications:
• Demonstrated success in teaching is desirable.
• Demonstrated success working with diverse groups of students is desirable.

Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Position is 100% time with benefits.
