The Department of Agricultural Economics invites applications at the level of Assistant Professor. This is an academic year appointment expected to begin August 2023. We are particularly interested in candidates capable of teaching courses in the fields of Macroeconomics and International Trade. Candidates are expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and to supervise graduate students. The expected teaching load is 2-3 courses per year. Potential exists for teaching distance courses. Some research activities should be funded through external grants. The Department has a history of success in acquiring funding from national and international institutions.

The position requires a Ph.D. in Agricultural or Applied Economics, Economics, or a closely related field.

The Department of Agricultural Economics at Purdue University has 38 tenure track faculty, over 450 undergraduate students across four majors, and over 100 graduate students.
