Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Kenyon College Department of Economics invites economists with teaching and research interests in macroeconomics and/or monetary economics to apply for a tenure track position at the assistant professor level to begin in July 2023. Special consideration will be given to applicants who also demonstrate an interest in labor economics and/or economic history.

The teaching load for this position is five courses per year. Kenyon College is committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse pool of scholars who wish to join an academic community that places the highest value on intellectual rigor and civil discourse.

A complete application includes the following:
A letter of application explaining why the candidate is a good fit for this position, a CV, a statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching effectiveness, research abstract(s), a job market paper, a copy of the graduate transcript, and three references. The statement on teaching should include a discussion of how the candidate plans to create a classroom environment in which students from a variety of backgrounds can flourish.
