The Department of Economics invites applications for two tenure track positions at the assistant or advanced assistant levels for appointment effective September 1, 2023 (requisition #30279BR).

The department seeks two individuals with extensive training in Microeconomics. All Microeconomic fields will be considered but preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research interests in Microeconomic Theory, Industrial Organization, and general Applied Microeconomics fields. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Economics by the start date and will be expected to contribute to the university’s mission, including producing publishable research, applying for external funding, supervising Ph.D. dissertation research, and teaching effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Salary, scholarly assistance and benefits are competitive. Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected.

Applications should include a letter of interest, vita, transcripts of graduate work, three letters of reference, a research paper, a research statement, evidence of teaching effectiveness, if available, and statement of teaching philosophy. Preference will be given to candidates whose application and supporting materials are received by December 1, 2022.
