The Department of Health Policy and Management (HPM) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH) has openings for up to three tenure track faculty positions in health services research. This is an exciting time to join HPM and the BSPH. A new chair, Dr. Keshia Pollack Porter, began in February 2022, and she has a bold vision regarding scholarship, education, practice, and policy impact. Under her leadership, the Department has reaffirmed its committed to advancing inclusion, diversity, anti-racism, and equity (IDARE) in scholarship, education, practice, and the department’s culture.

The Department is seeking to expand the scope of its expertise in health services research. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or comparable degree in health services research, management, decision sciences, economics, or a closely related field with research interests in the organization and delivery of health services.

Two confidential professional reference letters are required for applicants who have completed their degree within 3 years. One letter must be from an academic mentor or dissertation advisor but the other may be provided by a student or colleague from a community organization. These letters should be directly submitted by referees through Interfolio. Other candidates should submit the names of three references as part of their initial application.
