About the role
The School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary University of London invites applications from scholars of international distinction for appointments in Macroeconomics. The position can be filled at the level of Reader or Professor (equivalent to Associate Professor and Full Professor).

About You
You will be expected to contribute significantly to the development of the School’s research strategies, to be active in attracting research income and generating research impact, and to play a full role in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as in PhD supervision. You must have a postgraduate and/or relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent professional experience, together with a track record of high-quality research appropriate to the level of appointment, and clear and ambitious plans for future research. You should also have experience of delivering teaching and assessment. Candidates at the Professor level are expected to show evidence of scientific leadership in their field and an ability to contribute to the strategic development of the School including mentoring junior colleagues.

The posts are based at the Mile End Campus in London. They are full time, permanent appointments, with an expected start date of September 2023 and search will be ongoing until the position is filled. Salaries are internationally competitive and not less than £55,840 per annum (Reader) inclusive of London Allowance, with the potential for significant market supplement to reflect current market conditions. Professorial salaries will be commensurate with level, skills and experience.
