The University of Oxford is seeking to appoint an outstanding scholar and teacher as the Drummond Professor of Political Economy. The Drummond Professorship was established in 1825, and the previous holders include three Nobel laureates (Sir John Hicks, Joseph Stiglitz and Amartya Sen).

Applications are invited from any sub-field of economics. The post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to take a leading role in enhancing economics research at Oxford and providing academic leadership in the discipline.

Oxford University is internationally recognized as being one of the very best institutions worldwide for the study of economics. The successful applicant will be a scholar of international distinction with an outstanding record of research and publication in economics, and will be able to provide excellent teaching and mentoring for students and colleagues at all levels.
