Stetson University invites applications for a 9-month, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics. We seek a candidate who will bring a broadly inclusive and diverse perspective on economics in any field. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching, particularly in a liberal arts environment. The appointment spans August 2022-May 2023.
A Ph.D. in Economics is preferred; ABD candidates will also be considered. Candidates should be committed to teaching distinctiveness. There will be opportunities to join research on economics pedagogy and candidates may also have the opportunity to involve undergraduate students in their research.
We are especially interested in and strongly encourage applications from candidates who have experience working with students from linguistically, culturally, racially, and socially diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for
students from underrepresented groups.
