The research department at the Milken Institute is seeking exceptional candidates in Labor Economics at the economist level. Qualified candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills and a Ph.D. in Economics with a solid background in data analysis in labor economics and advanced knowledge of statistical programming skills (R, Stata, etc.). Working knowledge of machine learning techniques or big data analytics would be a plus.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively to conduct applied research on issues pertinent at the international, national, and regional levels. The ability to communicate complex, technical concepts concisely and clearly to an audience with various backgrounds and levels of experience is essential.
-Write up findings and recommendations that can be shared with stakeholders; -Conduct sophisticated empirical research in Labor Economics; -Coordinate research with various policy centers within MI; -Present research findings to technical and non-technical audiences internally and externally.
