The Department of Economics of the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University, Minnesota, invites applications for a full-time 3-year term appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics beginning in August 2022. Review of applications begins on February 1, 2022, and continues until the position is filled.
We are seeking an economist committed to undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will regularly teach Principles of Economics, Introduction to Econometrics, elective courses (such as financial economics, behavioral economics, sports economics, or health economics) and, periodically, the department's capstone course. The candidate will also be expected to teach periodically in the colleges' general education curriculum and could have the opportunity to participate in various interdisciplinary programs. Other responsibilities include the advising of students regarding academic and life goals.
A PhD in Economics by September 1, 2022, is preferred; ABD required. Applicants are required to have a capacity to teach Introduction to Econometrics and at least one of the following courses: financial economics, behavioral economics, sports economics, or health economics.
