The Agribusiness Department in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA, is seeking two (2) full-time, academic year, tenure‐track Assistant or Associate Professors to start September 12, 2022. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate core courses in the Agribusiness Department and be able to teach courses related to an area of expertise such as agribusiness management, strategy, data analytics, quantitative methods, agribusiness policy, food retail, and supply chain and logistics.
Required Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Agriculture Economics, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Operations Management, or another closely related field is required. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching, effective communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to be a productive team player. Candidates must also demonstrate an ability to initiate, complete, secure external funding, and publish research. The ability to interact well with peers, students, industry partners, and the general public is essential. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous industry, teaching or research experience with agribusiness, government, industry organizations or international agricultural experience is strongly preferred.
