Adolfo Ibáñez Business School is seeking candidates for faculty positions (assistant, associate or full) in Economics, starting July 2022, with flexibility. Candidates from any field of economics will be considered. Located in Santiago, Chile, we have a competitive research environment, with Faculty from Latin America, Europe, and the US. The city has at least 7-8 institutions that regularly hire PhDs in Economics, with a relevant concentration of seminars and with access to competitive funding for research. Also, most of the year Santiago has the same time zone as the US East Coast, facilitating research collaborations.
Applications are invited from individuals who have earned a PhD (or equivalent) or expect to receive a doctorate in the near future. Members of our faculty are expected to conduct original research of exceptionally high quality, to teach effectively, and to participate in and contribute to the academic environment. Candidates should be able to teach in both English and Spanish, for undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs.
Applications should only include a curriculum vitae, cover letter, job market paper, and three references. In addition, two confidential letters of recommendation are required to apply for an Assistant Professor position, which should be submitted through the online portal by the referees.
