Full Text of JOE Listing:

Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs brings together an interdisciplinary faculty to conduct research in policy-related fields and train students at the master’s and doctoral level for careers in global public policy.

SIPA now invites applications for an open-rank Professor in the field of Energy Policy to begin in July 1, 2022 (or as soon thereafter as possible). The professorship can be filled at the rank of assistant professor, associate professor, or full professor, with a preference for a tenured full professor.

PhD in Economics, Public Policy, or related disciplines is required. Research and teaching interests must include conventional energy resources, such as hydrocarbons, nuclear or hydroelectric power. Interest in the relevance of research for policy is essential. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and intellectual leadership in the SIPA energy curriculum at the master’s and PhD level, and engage with other Columbia faculty working in the energy, sustainable development, and related fields. Applications will be reviewed until a suitable candidate is identified.

Columbia University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of SIPA’s academic community. Applications from women and underrepresented minorities are strongly encouraged.
