The School of Business and Economics at Universidad de los Andes (https://www.uandes.cl/school-of-business-and-economics/) invites applications for multiple positions in Economics and Finance at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Knowledge of Spanish is not required; instruction can be in English. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or be close to completion. Successful candidates should have an outstanding research record or potential. The appointment is expected to begin in July, 2022.

Following the AEA recommendations, interviews will be conducted virtually via zoom, starting Wednesday, January 6th, 2022.

The School of Business and Economics fosters high-quality research within Economics, Finance, and Business Administration. Our group conducts research on a variety of topics, including industrial organization, corporate finance, strategy, micro theory, trade, macroeconomics, labor, and education. Our faculty has published in leading journals such as The Journal of Political Economy, Econometrica, American Economic Review, Journal of Finance, Journal of Economic Theory, The Review of Financial Studies, American Economic Review: Insights, American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, among others.

Our school seeks candidates who can produce at the frontier of knowledge, connected to the research community worldwide. To this end, we offer a similar package, if not superior, to the best universities in Europe and the United States, including: (i) a salary that is comparable to the top 30 institutions in the U.S.; (ii) teaching load of three courses per year with teaching reductions conditional on research productivity; (iii) research budget for international activities (seminars, meeting with coauthors, etc.); (iv) research assistants; and (v) monetary incentives for publications.
