Department of Accounting and Finance at Texas A&M University-San Antonio is seeking a Research Associate-Economics/Statistics starting from Fall 2021 or Spring 2022. The research associate will work with the department faculty to generate high-quality business research leading to journal publications. The associate will primarily support and advance some research projects from conceptualization through publication, formulate research methods, suggest options for improving quality, identify potential problems, and recommend and implement solutions.

Required Qualifications:
• Graduate degree in economics, statistics, or related field.
• Advanced statistical and programming skills and experience managing large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ph.D./ABD in economics or statistics.
• Preferred field: applied econometrics, financial economics.

It is a full-time two-year position with the possibility of renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance evaluation. The salary for the position is $50,000 per year. The position is fully funded by the university and comes with a complete benefits package as an employee of Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
