The Washington Student Achievement Council is looking for an Assistant Director of Research to be part of a team working to improve the agency's use of data and research to drive our higher education policy work for our state. Under the direction of the Director of Research, this position conducts research related to higher education and labor market trends in Washington State and the national context.
Qualifications of the ideal candidate include a minimum of a master’s degree in Minimum master's degree in Economics, Social Science, Statistics, Public Policy, or another relevant field; a demonstrated knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis techniques and research methodologies; general knowledge of and experience working with datasets such as academic, workforce, economic, census, fiscal, or administrative data; Demonstrated computer skills to perform data analysis using at least one of the following software packages: SAS, Stata, SQL, or R and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and the ability to translate these values into research work.
