University College London (UCL) is the largest of the colleges in the federation that makes up the University of London. It is consistently rated as one of the top multi-faculty universities in the UK and has an annual turnover in excess of £400m. UCL is one of the UK's premier research institutions encompassing immense research strength across all areas. It is also developing numerous interdisciplinary research centres. UCL has an excellent library and the library resources available in London, such as the British Library, are unrivalled in the UK.

The post holder will be responsible for executing the DEVORHBIOSHIP research project, and will work closely with Dr. Gabriella Conti and her team, and under the supervision of Dr. Conti.

Develop and estimate economic models of parental investment in child development, and of the production of health across the lifecycle, incorporating shocks and policies, and the role of biology; contribute to the writing up and dissemination of the results, and will carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager or Head of Department/Division.

The post holder will actively follow UCL policies including Equal Opportunities and Race Equality policies.

The person appointed will work at the offices of the Department of Economics, Drayton House, 30 Gordon Street, London WC1H 0AX.

The post is funded from 1st of April 2021 for 12 months in the First instance.

Key requirements are a PhD in Economics, preferably in the Economics of Health or of Human Development.
