The University of Wyoming’s Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources is searching for a postdoctoral scholar with an interest in natural capital accounting, ecosystem service modeling and applied research in the areas of natural resource economics, policy and management. Responsibilities include 1) building a research program that leads to publications in high quality journals, 2) collaborating with a diverse and interdisciplinary team of researchers in the Haub School and 3) engaging with an in-house conservation engagement specialist to support natural resource management and policy in the region.

Salary will be competitive and includes a generous benefits package, relocation funds, and support for travel. The appointment is for one year, renewable for a second year subject to satisfactory performance. The position will be supervised by Drs. Jacob Hochard and Drew Bennett.

Essential and Requirements:
Develop a strong record of research excellence in the areas listed above.
Work collaboratively with PI on existing grants and faculty of the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Doctoral Degree is required for this position, however, consideration will be given to applicants that are currently pursuing their Doctoral Degree and will complete the degree prior to starting work.
Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field
Strong analytical, research, statistical, and quantitative skills.
Ability to write clearly, professionally, and persuasively.
Effective communication skills.
Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.

Desired Qualifications:
Expertise in R programming.
Strong quantitative economic modeling skills.
Potential to support project management and the mentoring of graduate students.
Ability to lead aspects of a team-based interdisciplinary project.
