Full Text of JOE Listing:
China’s population is aging rapidly and rigorous research and training are needed to inform policy formulations to meet the changing needs and demands of the aging population and their families. At the same time, while the COVID-19 outbreak demonstrated China’s substantial progress in medical science since the 2003 SARS outbreak, the catastrophic costs of COVID-19 exposed both the strengths and fundamental inadequacies of China’s health care system and associated public health and policy research capacity.
The Harvard China Health Partnership seeks to hire a full-time Research Assistant to conduct key analyses on comparative elderly care policy and COVID-19 response in order to support our research agenda that promotes a sustainable and people-centered health and elderly care system in China.
Basic qualifications include a master’s degree in health policy, public policy, economics, or health systems research with strong disciplinary training in economics, political economy, comparative politics or related fields
Under the direction of Professor Winnie Yip, the Harvard China Health Partnership is housed within the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Instructions on how to apply will be posted on/about January 31, 2021 here: https://sites.sph.harvard.edu/china-health-partnership/research_categories/opportunities/.
