The successful candidate for this position will undertake environmental economics research and support the development of a new center of environmental economics within the Arizona Institutes for Resilience, under supervision. The applicant will undertake research in environmental economics and help to design and implement a new institutional arrangement to spur new interdisciplinary environmental research efforts across the natural and social sciences. This is a one-year position to start in August 2021, with a second year contingent upon funding and performance. We will begin evaluating applications immediately. We encourage applications both from those currently looking for a tenure-track job and from those waiting until future years to look for a tenure-track job.
Duties include:
*Undertake new research in conjunction with Arizona faculty in environmental economics.
*Assist in designing a new interdisciplinary initiative through the Arizona Institutes of Resilience.
*Publish relevant papers and help with grant writing.
*Outreach communication via talks, written pieces, videos, and other creative outlets
Minimum qualifications:
* PhD upon hire or no later than the start date
* Training in economics and econometrics
Preferred qualifications:
* Training in environmental economics
