Dynamic and vibrant, Durham University Business School is one of Durham University's four Faculties and is comprised of three research-intensive departments: Accounting, Economics and Finance, and Management and Marketing. Known for its global reputation, its impact on policy and practice and its strong focus on ethics, responsibility and sustainability, the School aims to be a leading European business school with a strong global presence by 2027, The School currently has 180 academic and teaching staff, with plans and resource commitments to grow to 230 by 2027. In addition, 11 funded research centres (https://www.dur.ac.uk/business/research/research-centres/) blend leading theoretical perspectives with a strong emphasis on impact and engagement with practice, noted in www.durham.ac.uk/business. The school's student population is around 4000, across undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.

We welcome applications from scholars in all sub-fields in Economics, although our emphasis will mainly be on Behavioural Economics, Economic Theory, Macroeconomics, Labour Economics and Development Economics.

Notable characteristics will be drive, vision and talent to further strengthen our research activity and environment. We are looking for future colleagues who will lead and contribute to the development of world-class publications, securing appropriate external funding and to support the delivery of research-led programmes, delivering an outstanding education. As such, the Faculty seeks to make professorial appointments within the Department of Economics and Finance.

Our department is part of the triple-accredited Business School, home to academics whose research is internationally renowned for intellectual rigour and for the benefits it brings to the society. You will be working with colleagues in our research centres of excellence specialised in areas such as Banking, Institutions and Development, Ethical Finance, Accountability and Governance, Economics Analysis and Mechanisms, Quantitative Research in Finance and Economics, and Experimental Methods in Business Research, Environmental and Energy Economics and have the opportunity to work with others across the School and wider University. You will have an opportunity to teach and supervise our excellent undergraduate and
postgraduate students and doctoral researchers. We work closely with business partners around the world, sharing insights, supporting innovation, and educating tomorrow's leaders.
